Our coop has a 7′ x 16′ run, with a 3′ x 7′ coop and has two 7-foot roosting bars. So, 12-14 standard size chickens would be comfortable in the run, if they cannot free range, and 12-14 standard-size chickens can roost comfortably in the coop.

Do not pour a concrete pad for your chicken coop or place it on gravel. The coop needs to be placed on a level spot directly on the ground allowing your chickens access to grass and/or dirt.
